My name is Henriette ” Hetty” Maria, but you can call me Hetty. I’m a 26 y.o writer and I have a strong passion for cooking. I currently live in a small house out on the country side, about one our from Oslo. I have two dogs who loves food as much as me, and I live with my beautiful and wonderful mom. My mom is the one to thank for my passion for cooking. She’s an amazing home cook, and almost everything I know I’ve learned from her. Ever since I was a kid she have included me in the cooking, teaching me and showing how to make the most tasty dishes I’ve ever seen and tasted. She thought me how to throw things together form what you can find in the kitchen cabinets, and how to make the most basic sauces, side dishes and the basics of baking.
I have two other blogs on a different site, but I wanted to try out WordPress because I’ve heard so much good about it and It’s supposed to be a way better site than the once I’ve used before.
Fall in love with cooking again; I’m all about family and sharing a dinner together at the dining table is one of my favorite things of the day. After cooking a meal, sitting down with family and talk about the day or what ever comes to mind is important to me. Many of my friends are telling me about how they all eat in separate rooms, and all at different times makes me sad. Eating together as a family should be something everyone do. I mean that’s how I was raised. Sitting down at the dining table after a long day at work and enjoy a good home cooked meal together, talk about everything and nothing should be common sense. I know that everyone now a days have a busy schedule but seriously, make time for it. Quality time with your family is as important as everything else going on in your life, and please leave your phone in the hallway or kitchen or simply just in another room. If you are expecting an important call; take the phone with you but it on silence. It’s not that hard.
When it comes to cooking, I know it can be hard coming home from work and start to make dinner, but there are tons of easy, healthy dishes you can make everyday that doesn’t take five hours to cook. You can even cook tasty casserole dishes the night before, put it in the fridge and just put it in the oven when you come home from a long day at work and all you need to do is make an easy salad and some sliced up bread to serve it with. Simple. possible, tasty and worth it.
Tomorrows post will be about me personally. Hope you enjoyed this post and I hope to see you back here tomorrow for a new post!
