I love a good fruit salad, it’s so refreshing to eat after a good meal. It’s perfect for any occasion, for a BBQ Party or at a family get/together. It looks great and it tastes amazing and refreshing. The key to a good fruit salad is using the fruits you love. You can use all kinds of fruits and berries to make your fruit salad. This is n recipe that’s been in our family for years. I hope you enjoy it as much as my family and I do.
Ingredients:
Half a cantaloupe
A small basket of Strawberries
A small basket of blueberries
1 Box of canned sliced mandarins
1 pack of vanilla Sauce
How to make Hetty’s fruit salad:
Start by washing the strawberries and blueberries. Cut the cantaloupe in half, and then in half once again. Then gently cut off the rind. Slice it up in medium sized pieces and put them into a serving bowl. Add the blueberries, then cut off the end of each strawberry, then cut it in half(sideways) and add it to the mixing bowl. Add the mandarins into the bowl.( remember to pour out the liquid before adding them into the bowl.) Mix everything together and add them to four serving glasses, and pour some cold/room-temperature vanilla sauce on top. You can garnish the glass with a slice of cantaloupe, some blueberries on a toothpick and a half a strawberry to make it look more interesting.
