Here is the recipe for the Blueberry muffins I baked last night. The recipe is an old family recipe that my mom used to use when I was growing up.
100 g butter
1 ts baking powder
0,5 dl milk
150 g plain flour
150 g Sugar ( + 2 dl of sugar for the blueberries. )
150-200 g blueberries
How to make Hetty’s Home made Blueberry muffins:
- Start by pre-heating the oven to 350 degrees. Then mix together the butter and sugar. (use a blender, if you have one.) Mix inn the eggs, one at a time. add the flour and baking powder before adding inn the milk. mix it all well together.
- Wash the blueberries and put them into a mixing bowl. Add 2dl of sugar until the berries are sweet. ( Do not add all 2 dl of sugar at once, taste them to see if they need more or less amount of sugar.) Then add the blueberries into the muffin mix and gently mix them together with wooden spoon.
- fill up the baking cups or the muffin cups with 3/4 full ish. I tend to use two table spoons too place the muffin mix into the baking cups/muffin cups. Put them into the oven, and let them bake for approximately 20 minutes.
Serve them up on a plate. They can be served warm or cold, they taste amazing either way.
I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as my family and I did. The muffins we made tasted really good, but they looked like a bloody crime scene, but hey! better luck next time!:)
