It’s Saturday, a brand new day and great day to do some home cooking. I was going to visit this Asian grocery store called Asia, but decided to go to another on called Fresh Delhi instead. It was amazing, truly epic. I cook a lot of Italian food and they had everything I needed from pasta, fresh ingredients, spices, canned goods you name it they had it. Italian ice-cream. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and I recommend shopping there.
Another thing I promised you was the recipe for my Pork skewers with a roasted garlic glaze.
450 g of pork tenderlion
1 large green zucchini( squash)
1 large onion
roasted garlic glaze
How to make Hetty’s pork skewers glazed in garlic.
- Start by pre-heating the oven to 425 degrees. Peal the onion ans slice it in half, then start slicing up the onion, from the shortest side into medium sized slices. Wash and cut the squash into half, then quarters, then slice them up.
- Slice up the pork tenderloin into medium sized slices. Then add them into a bowl and mix inn the roasted garlic glaze. Then start by threading the spear with onion, meat, and squash and repeat until the spear is almost full.Lay the spears into a butter glazed casserole dish. When all the spears are ready put them into the oven for 30-40 minutes.
Serve the dish with a nice salad on the side, maybe some oven baked potatoes or maybe a potato salad or something similar.

Saturday is a beautiful day to cook, like any other day. I like to think that during the weekend I cook something I don’t normally eat every day and this weekend is no different. Today we had pork skewers, tomorrow we’re having Chicken fillet with rice, sauce and wok-vegetables. I’ll also be making chocolate cupcakes/muffin this weekend so that might be a fun experience. It’s been a while since I’ve baked chocolate cupcakes/muffin. But I’ll give it try and let you know how it turns out.
