Hello all my fellow home cooks around the globe.
Today I created a new dish, I dived into the fridge and into the kitchen cabinets. I found a little of this and that and placed it on the kitchen counter. In front of me, I got one pack of meatballs, marinara sauce, leek, garlic, grated cheese, butter and parsley. Looking at the ingredients I’d picked out for today’s dinner, I started thinking about how I could create a good and tasty dish out of what I had standing in front of me on the counter. I came up with the Idea of making Hetty’s meatballs, mash and cheese.
Ingredients:
700g meatballs
500g marinara sauce
Fresh parsley ( chopped)
half a scallion
150 g grated cheese
salt
pepper
Tuscan spice blend
Chili flakes( or chili powder)
basil
How to make Hetty’s meatballs, mash and cheese:
First cook the meatballs in a skillet with some butter on medium-high heat until they got a golden color. While the meatballs are cooking, chop up the spring onion. Use a wok-pan and put a tablespoon of butter into it. When the meatballs are done, put them over in the wok-pan and let it simmer for about two minutes on medium high heat. Add the chopped scallion and let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Season it before adding the marinara sauce. Let it simmer for about 5-10 minutes. Then add the grated cheese and the chopped parsley inn right at the end. Serve the dish up with some mash-potatoes, some bread and maybe a salad on the side.
It was a lot of fun cooking this dish, and I hope you like it as much as we did.
I hope you have an amazing day and I hope to see you back here tomorrow for a new post. Keep up the good cooking y’all!
Until next time..
- Hetty
