Hey all fellow home cooks, food lovers and everyone else!
It’s Saturday and I’ve decided to bake a new round of cinnamon buns. After cleaning the house I was really in the mood for some baking, so I decided that I would bake a new round of cinnamon buns.
I’ve already started to plan next weeks dinner plan. Currently I have no idea what so ever on what to make. But I do have a couple of dishes ready to go though. I only need at least five more. I’m sure with some creative thinking I’ll be able to find five incredible dishes to make.
My aunt’s birthday is coming up, and she wants me to cook. She have picked out five ingredients that she wants me to use, and then I have to figure out the rest for myself. She want’s a stake dinner, baked potatoes with home-made herb butter served with a good sauce, mushrooms and squash. So that’s the main course component I have to work with. I’m going to make a garlic/herb marinade, that I will use on the stakes before throwing them into a skillet with butter. I’ll bake the potatoes in the oven, and make my mom’s home-made garlic/herb butter. Then I will slice up the mushrooms and the squash and saute them in a pan with salt, pepper, some Tuscan spice blend and some chili flakes to get that extra edge it needs. Then I’ll have to figure out a starter and a dessert. as a starter I’m making a smoked salmon wrap, and for dessert I’m serving Italian ice-cream that I’m going to buy form this small local store that have the most exquisite groceries. I will be using strawberries and small cookies to decorate. I will be posting photos from my aunts b-day dinner, and I will be adding the recipe on salmon wraps next Saturday as well.
