Hey everyone!
Today I decided to try something new. Usually when I make stir fry I use a frozen stir fry vegetable mix, pork slices, rice and a bag of sauce of my liking. I was tired of eating the same stir fry every week, and my mom loves stir fry so I have to make it almost every week. Sometimes I use a different sauce in hope of getting a different flavor. But this week I thought to myself.. NO! today I’m trying something new, a new stir fry dish. I bought some canned baby corn, canned mushrooms, Zucchini, rice, pork slices, water chestnuts, rice and chop Suey sauce. ( the sauce was from a bag, not home made.) I like to call it Hetty’s zucchini and pork stir fry.
Ingredients:
8 oz. Canned water chestnuts
1 pound of sliced pork
1-2 boil in bags of rice (depending on how much rice you like.)
1 Large zucchini
14 oz of canned mushrooms
14 oz of canned baby corn
1 Bag of chop suey stir fry sauce
1 1/2 grated carrot
1/2 Onion
Spices: Chili flakes, Pepper, Salt, Tuscan spice blend.
Butter
How to make Hetty’s pork and zucchini stir fry :
- start by boiling the rice as written on the label. Put some butter in an iron skillet, when the butter is melted add the pork and let it cook through. While the meat is cooking and the rice is boiling, add the baby corn, mushrooms, water chestnuts and into a stir fry pan.
- peel the onion and the carrot. Cut the onion in half and finally chop the onion before adding it into the stir fry pan with the other ingredients. Grate the carrot and add that inn as well.
- When the meat is cooked add it into the stir fry pan and mix it all well together. Let it cook for about 10 minutes. When the rice is ready add that inn as well and let it cook for additionally 2 minutes. Add the sauce and mix it well together, let it simmer for additionally 40 seconds. Serve the dish up as is, maybe with some bread on the side if you want something on the side.
I really loved this dish, and I’m definitely going to make this dish again. I hope you like it as much as we did.
I hope to see you back here tomorrow for a new post, I hope y’all have an amazing day.
- Hetty
