Hey everyone!

Today I made Hetty’s ground beef stew. 09.21.17 I made Hetty’s ground beef stew for the very first time. It was a huge success in my family, everybody loves it.  When I succeed in the kitchen it makes me happy. When I cook something that others love and want me to cook again it gives me confidence to keep trying harder to succeed in the kitchen. I love it when a good meal come together. When I’m using all day and most nights writing I need a good meal to keep me going. I’m looking forward to the summer, and cooking new fun and spring/summer like dishes. It’s a long way to go for now until we reach spring and summer but still, I’m really looking forward to it. Last year, more precisely last summer I was all over the fact that we needed a new BBQ. This year we have already decided on witch BBQ er’re going to buy so luckily we don’t have to run around the world looking for the perfect BBQ. What I can tell you for now is that it’s a round coal BBQ, and It’s kinda large so we can have a BBQ party for 4th of July if we want to. So first thing we’re going to do as soon as we hit June is to buy our new BBQ. We’re pretty excited about it and are looking forward to finally getting our dream BBQ.  Anyway back to today’s subject witch is Hetty’s ground beef stew. The recipe is listed below and I really hope you like it as much as we do. I know I’ve posted this recipe before but re-posting it because it was so incredibly good.

Ingredients to make Hetty’s ground beef stew:

1 pound of Ground-beef

6 medium/large  potatoes

4 carrots

2 sticks of celery

1 onion

Salt

Pepper

Tuscan spice blend

Chili flakes

All-around spice blend

1 teaspoon of powdered beef broth

1 Cup of  water

1 Box of canned Tomatoes( 14.oz.

How to make Hetty’s homemade ground-beef stew:

  1. Wash the vegetables and potatoes. Peel the carrots, and  cut the carrots and the potatoes in half, then in quarters before slicing them up. But the sliced potatoes and carrots into a pot, sprinkle some salt on top. Pour enough water into the pot so it covers the potatoes and the carrots. Let it boil for about 20 minutes.
  2. While the potatoes and carrots are boiling start cooking the ground beef. Cook the ground beef with some butter in a iron pan or a skillet. Season with Pepper, all around spice, Tuscan spice mix and some red chili flakes.  While you got the ground beef going, start but chopping up the celery and the onion. When the ground beef is done put the skillet aside.
  3. Put some butter into a pot. When the butter is melted add the onion and the celery and let it simmer until it’s soft and have a golden color ( 5 minutes give or take.). Add the ground beef and mix it well together. Let it simmer for about five more minutes.  When the potatoes and carrots are done, drain the water and add it in the pot with the meat. Mix it well together, add one box of canned tomatoes, 1 cup of water and two table spoons of ketchup. Stir it well together and let it cook for about 20 minutes.  After 20 minutes of cooking remember to taste if it needs more flavors. I normally add 1 teaspoon of powdered beef broth. After adding the powdered broth I let it simmer for approximately five more minutes before I serve it up. Serve it up with some bread on the side and enjoy.

I hope y’all have an amazing Wednesday so far and I hope to see all of you back here tomorrow for a new post.
