Truth be told, the reason why I haven’t been able to write for a while was that my hands were too swollen to write. I got some antibiotics and I had a really bad reaction. Luckily my hands are slowly getting back to normal and I got some new medications to help with the pain and the swollen hands. I’m back and going to post every day from now on, if I suddenly stop writing a post it’s a good reason for it, like this one. I really love cooking, writing about food for you guys so if I don’t post it’s not because I don’t want to it’s because I physically am not able to.
Now let’s talk about food, cooking, and everything in-between. One of the things I love the most about cooking is that you can do so much with so little. With a chicken fillet, a poultry seasoning – southern blend, potato salad, tomatoes, olive oil, salt and pepper you can make an amazing dish with such simple ingredients. I really love cooking during the summer, I can grow my own herbs in the backyard, I can fire up the BBQ and cook something great or simply threw together a salad for lunch on a hot summer day. The thing I like about fall/winter is that I get to cook a good winter stew, more comfort food and do a whole lot of baking. Then there’s spring, what is perfect for spring-cooking? truth is I don’t really know. Spring is the time when comfort food, stew, and baking meets warmer weather, salads, BBQ, and Ice-creams. I’m on the other hand excited about cooking this spring. I will try and figure out what the perfect spring menu looks like. Spring 2018 starts Tuesday, March 20th, 2018. I still got some time left to figure out what I will be cooking this spring and what might qualify as spring-food or cooking. I would love to hear your opinion on the subject. I’m back, and I’m really excited about tomorrows post, I will be making quiche with smoked sausage and zucchini for dinner tomorrow so I’m really excited about that. I will be posting the recipe for my filling as well.
