Hetty’s Saturday snack dinner

IMG_9113[1]

Hey everyone!

Today I was planning on making burritos. As I’m about to start dinner I find out that I’ve forgotten to buy wraps. I consolted my mom about the problem, and we decided to make what I’d like to call Hetty’s snack dinner. It’s easy, it’s full of flavors and it’s perfect for a Saturday night dinner if you want something easy, and fun.

Ingredients:

1 Pound of sliced pork-meat

1 Pack of hot spice rub( perfect for pork or chicken)’

1-2 Avocado ( One or two, depending on size.)

2 tomatoes ( diced)

Half a cucumber, diced. ( maybe less, depending on size.)

14 oz. of canned corn

14 oz. of sliced mushrooms

A handful or two of grated cheese

5 oz of salsa

crushed Nacho chips

How to make Hetty’s snack dinner:

  1. Start by frying the pork slices in some butter. Then add the corn, mushrooms, diced tomato, diced cucumber in a mixing bowl and mix it all well together.  When the meat is cooked add the rub and add some more butter. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the meat into the mixing bowl with the other ingredients. Mix it all well together before gently blending in the salsa and one or two handfuls of grated cheese.
  3.  Add the mix to a nice serving bowl and serve it up with some sour cream and crumbled nachos on the side.

I hope you like this as much as we did. It’s perfect for a Saturday night snack dinner. I hope you all have an amazing Saturday so far, and I hope to see you back here tomorrow for a new post.
