Hey Everyone!

Today is a new day, a new day for cooking, learning and to have a great time. Today I made Pasta in the oven, with a cheddar cheese – cream sauce from a jar. ( Dolmio Al Forno.)  so today I’m going to give you some tips on how you easily can improve it. It’s super easy, it’s fun and it tastes so incredibly much better. I love it when a good dish comes together.

Ingredients to make Hetty’s improved Al Forno from a jar:

1 jar of Al Forno Cheddar cheese creamy sauce from Dolmio

1 pound of ground beef

12-13 oz of Penne Rigate

1 clove of garlic

2 -3 shallots ( pending on size.)

Pepper

All around spice mix

Tuscan spice blend

Butter

a pinch of grated nutmeg

Parmesan

How to make Hetty’s improved Pasta Al Forno;

  1. Cook the pasta al dente. While the pasta is cooking — Clean the shallots, chop them up. Melt some butter in a pan and add the shallots when the butter has melted.   Season with Pepper and grated nutmeg.  Let it simmer for about 2 minutes before adding the ground beef. Season with Pepper, 1 clove of minced garlic, Tuscan spice blend, and all around spice mix. Let the ground beef cook until it reaches a golden brown color. Chop up fresh parsley, thyme, oregano, and rosemary and mix it well together with the ground beef and let it simmer for another minute.
  2. Use a baking spray, butter or oil to grease a casserole dish before adding the ground beef. Evenly spread the ground beef at the bottom of the dish. When the pasta is done, drain the water and add the pasta to the casserole dish. Mix it all well together before adding the sauce from the jar. Mix the sauce well together with the meat and the pasta. Sprinkle some grated cheese or simply lay on some slices of cheese before putting it in the oven as written on the label.

You can easily serve this dish up with some garlic bread and a salad on the side. I make this dish countless of times during the summer, and I’m happy we decided to make it today. You can easily make this dish ready to go in the oven and simply put it in the fridge overnight covered with aluminum foil or plastic wrap. Then you can put it in the oven when you get home from work just in time for dinner.

I really love making this dish,  it’s easy, it’s fun to make and it doesn’t take forever to prepare or to cook.

Coming up tomorrow is my Chicken filet spice/herb mix marinade. I’m really excited about it.

I hope all of you have an amazing Wednesday so far and I hope to see you back here tomorrow for a new post.
