Hetty’s Tuscan salami sandwich

Hey everyone!

It’s Friday, it’s the weekend. I’ll be writing all weekend, but I’m really excited about it. I’m sitting here drinking coffee, waiting for it to start raining. It sounds silly, but the truth is that I love writing when it rains, to hear the drops of rain hitting my window while I’m writing and enjoying a good cup of coffee in the morning or afternoon is the best.

Today’s recipe is a Tuscan salami sandwich. I was really excited about making this and even though I was a little skeptical about the bread I had chosen; It turned out to be the best choice of bread that I had available. Sometimes you worry about things that will turn out better than you ever expected.  Making Sandwiches are fun, it’s tasty, perfect for lunch or while watching the game, a midnight snack or even as a quick dinner if you’re not up for cooking a big meal when you get back home after a day of working late.

Ingredients:

8-10 slices Tuscan salami ( Depending on the size.)

1 Large sub ( I used a rustic fresh sub.)

8 slices Cucumber

Mayo

Butter

1/2 Avocado

NOTE: The sub I used was basically raw so I cooked it as it said on the label before I made the sandwich. As I took the sub out of the oven I immediately started to pre-pear my sandwich. That way the bread remained crispy, yet soft and fluffy on the inside.

Directions:

  1.  Cut the sub in half lengthwise. Add a layer of butter and layer of mayo on both halves. Then add the slices of salami on top of the bottom sub.
  2. Slice up some cucumber and put a layer of sliced cucumbers on top of the salami. Slice up some cheese and add it on top of the cucumber.
  3. Peel and slice up the avocado and lay it on top of the cheese. Then gently put the top sub on top before serving.

Three easy steps to make a tasty and flavorful Sandwich in no time. The Tuscan salami is so flavorful that you don’t need to add any seasoning what so ever. The cheese I used also have a lot of flavors and the flavors combined was simply epic. You can use any cheese you like. It’s all about making it your own and putting on what you like, that’s the important thing when it comes to making a good sandwich.
