Hey everyone!
I’ve been feeling a lot under the weather the past few days. Yesterday ended up not eating much at all and spent most of my time sleeping and binge-watching Netflix. Today I’m feeling a little better, but sadly not good enough to go to the harvest festival and this whole week have been chaotic. But I will come back stronger next week with new recipes, food talk and more and I’m really excited about that. Since I’m feeling a little better today I’m counting on being back to “normal” on Monday. As of today, I’m making mash potatoes so I thought it would be the perfect recipe for today’s post. Today is the first day of fall, and I’m excited about that. I really love fall and the whole cozy-vibe it gives. I have a whole week of meals to plan today, I’m thinking that it will be a week filled with fall-related dishes, but at this point, I’m not sure. I’m going to do my best to create a great week next week.
Tis the season to bring out your favorite boots and your long warm oversized sweaters and rock the grocery store with your fall outfit. As I mentioned today’s recipe is mash potatoes. I love how easy it is to make your own mash potatoes, not only in time for Thanksgiving but all year around.
Ingredients:
10 Small/medium Potatoes
2 Tablespoons Butter
3.3 oz. Milk
Salt
Pepper
Freshly chopped chives
Directions:
- Peel and wash the potatoes. Cut them into four pieces and add cover them with water, add a little salt and bring it to a boil. ( let them boil for about 30 minutes.)
- Put the potatoes into a large mixing bowl. Heat up the milk and melt the butter. Use a masher or a hand mixer to mash the potatoes. Gently pour in the milk and the butter. Mix it gently and well together until you reach a smooth consistency. Season with salt and pepper. Add the mash potatoes into a serving bowl and sprinkle some freshly chopped chives on top before serving.
I really love this recipe, it’s so simple and it’s really good. I love sharing our family recipes with all of you.
I hope all of you are having an amazing Saturday so far and I hope to see y’all back here tomorrow for a new post.
