Hetty’s Tzatziki recipe

Hey everyone!

Sunday, another week ending, and another one is right ahead of us. May this week be filled with happiness, new doors to open, new opportunities and may this week be an amazing one. Today w had lamb chops for dinner with homemade tzatziki. My mom made the lamb chops, the vegetables and the put the fries in the oven and I made the tzatziki.  It was really good, and we squeezed some freshly pressed lemon juice on top, just like we did when vacationing in Greece every summer when I was a kid. But this was so much better. My mom is an amazing home cook and she’s always teaching something new in the kitchen. I’m so grateful to have such an amazing and wonderful mom, she’s the best mom in the whole world.

Today was my very first time making tzatziki, It was a lot easier than I expected it to be, and it actually tasted a whole lot better than the one you buy in the grocery store.

Ingredients:

3/4 Cucumber

4 TBS Greek yogurt

Salt

Pepper

1 Clove Garlic

Directions

  1. Grate the cucumber, then squeeze it tight in your hand until all/or most of the liquid is gone.
  2. Put the Greek yogurt into a bowl, add the cucumber and gently mix it together.
  3. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic. Mix it all well together and serve it right away.

You can also put some plastic wrap around the bowl and put it in the fridge overnight, or for a few hours if you want to make it ahead. or you can put some plastic wrap around the bowl and put it int he fridge overnight, or for a few hours if you want to make it ahead.

I hope you love this recipe as much as we do, it’s quick and easy to make, it tastes amazing and it’s perfect for almost any type of meat. ( Pork, lamb, steak, chicken, BBQ food etc. )

I hope all of you are having an amazing Sunday and that you all have had an amazing weekend.  I hope to see Y’all back here tomorrow for a new post.
