I wanted to post an easy dinner tip that could really make a difference in the kitchen. This improved marinara sauce is the best. You can easily make changes, and make it into your own — set your own twist on it. Your family, friends, and whoever comes over for dinner will for sure love it. I use this tip for a large variety of marinara sauce that I buy in our local grocery store.
1 Pound ground beef
1 Jar of marinara sauce ( 590 g)
1 Clove garlic
Red chili flakes
200 g Fresh Mushrooms
Pasta of your choice
- Use a paper towel to remove any dirt from the mushrooms before slicing them up. Put some butter into an iron frying pan and add the mushrooms. Season with salt and pepper. Don’t overload the frying pan, brown the mushrooms in several rounds.
- When all the mushrooms are done, add them on a plate and put it aside for now. Add some butter into the same frying pan. While waiting on the butter to melt; clean and chop up the shallot and clean the garlic. When the butter has melted add in the chopped shallot and grated garlic. Season with salt, pepper, and grated nutmeg. let it simmer for about a minute before adding in the ground beef. Start pepping the pasta of your choice as written on the label.
- Let the ground beef cook until it’s golden brown, season with Italian seasoning, pepper, and red chili flakes.
- When the ground beef is cooked, add in the mushrooms and let it simmer for about 1-2 minutes. Add in the marinara sauce of your choice and let it simmer for about 5 minutes. When the pasta of your choice is cooked, drain the water and add it into a serving bowl, add the meat-sauce-marinara-sauce over and gently blend it all well together. Sprinkle some parmesan cheese on top before serving.
I hope you love this as much as I do, I use this recipe every week and it’s so good. One of my favorites is to use this tip with a creamy cheddar marinara sauce, but I also use regular marinara sauce. I love that I can use this “recipe” to any marinara sauce I’ve ever tried and it always turns out great. You can also use a spice called All around that I use a lot, also in this dish but if you can’t get a hold of it I can send you some. It’s a mix of a variety of spices. I will be posting a post about this particular spice soon. It’s easy to create on your own as well I believe. I will dive deeper into the ingredients in this spice and I will write a post about it.
