Hey everyone!
It’s Wednesday, I’ve been for a walk with the dogs and it’s the day after my treatment because I have my treatment on Tuesdays’s and Thursday’s. I’m a little exhausted but otherwise fine. Spending the rest of the day writing and trying to relax.
Today I¨m making a ham and cheese pie. It’s sort of half pie and half quiche. Does that make sense? It’s a quiche in a pie crust, basically. But the most important thing is not what it’s called but how it tastes. This is a great pie for lunch, brunch, dinner or even breakfast if you’d like.
ingredients:
150g Diced or sliced ham
1 Onion
200 g Grated cheese
3 Eggs
3 dl Cream
1 ts Oregano
Red chili flakes
Pepper
Pie Crust
Note: You can add any spice you prefer and like. Same goes for the filling, you can add or substitute any of the filling with whatever you might like.
Directions:
- preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Prep the pie crust if needed, then whisk together eggs and cream in a mixing bowl. Add the seasoning and whisk some more.
- Slice up the onion and add it into your pie crust with the ham. Pour the egg mixture over, sprinkle the grated cheese on top and put it into the oven for 35 minutes.
This is such an easy dish to make and it’s so easy to switch out the ham or the onions with your favorite type of meat or vegetables. Make it your own by adding what you love.
I hope you like this dish as much as we do. 🙂
I hope y’all are having an amazing Wednesday so far and I hope to see you back here tomorrow for a new post.
