December with Hetty – Day 3!

Hey everyone!

It’s December 3rd already, and today I’ve written most of the Christmas cards for this holiday season. I only have ten or so left, yes – this year I’m sending Christmas cards to a lot of people. Family, near and far away and a couple of friends of course. Some people I have more difficulty with writing than others, I just don’t know what to say. ( Then maybe not send a card?) lol. But these are people that mean a lot to me, but I feel like simply writing ” Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year might be a little too short. On the other hand, some people I can write a two page long Christmas card and still I could have written more. It depends on the person, the situation and how I feel in the moment as well I guess.

From December 1st – 24th there is this Kids/family advent calendar tv-series that starts at 6 p.m every day, and this year it’s so sweet. I’ve seen this series once before but last year they sent another one so I was so happy to see that they were going to send the one I love again this year. Basically, it’s called snowfall, and it’s about a girl, who lost her parents and she’s living with her aunt. What she doesn’t know is that she’s the grandchild of Santa Claus.

But the cool thing that I’m going to tell you about is that in this series, whenever Santa gets a letter from a kid, he reads it and then he takes up a round glass Christmas ornament and he blows at it, then the ornament is filled with light and he puts it aside, and when this happens the parents get the idea of what to buy for their kids for Christmas. The fact that you can tell your child ( if they catch you putting the presents under the tree) is that story, that Santa gave you their wish for Christmas. It’s epic and I really love that idea.

You might be wondering what’s happening tomorrow in December with Hetty? Well, I’m going to tell you straight away! Tomorrow I’m making muffins with a red cream cheese frosting and Christmas sprinkles! We all need a little baking to keep us going through the holiday season, and I thought that tomorrow would be the perfect day to do some baking. I’m baking with friends on Saturday as well, but I thought why not bake something great tomorrow as well.

I hope all of you had an amazing December 3rd and I hope to see all of you back here tomorrow for a new post! 🙂
