I thought I’d share my grandmother’s apple cake recipe. This recipe is perfect for any party, any get-together with friends and family, it’s perfect for a Sunday picknick and last but not least it’s perfect for fall. I make this cake countless times every year during the fall season. I remember making this cake quite often when I was a kid with my grandmother. I love family traditions and I feel like this recipe needs to be out in the world for other people to enjoy as well, not only my family alone. I’m really excited about sharing this recipe with all of you.
125 g Sugar
125 g ( 2,5 dl) Meltet Butter
1 ts Baking powder
1-2 apples ( Depending on size.)
2 TBS of sugar
2TBS of cinnamon
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Mix all the dry ingredients together in a medium mixing bowl. Whisk together two eggs in a small bowl. Melt the butter.
- Add the melted butter and the whisked eggs in with the dry ingredients and gently mix it all well together with a wooden spoon.
- Spray a 9-inch springform pan with a nonstick spray. Pour the apple cake mixture into the form. Peel the apples and slice them into medium sized slices. Gently stick the apple slices into the mixture in a circle. Mix together 2 TBS of sugar and 2 TBS of cinnamon into a cup and mix it together. Then sprinkle it over the cake before putting it into the oven for 30 minutes.
I hope you love this recipe as much as we do. I hope all of you are having an amazing Sunday and I hope to see y’all back here tomorrow for a new post.
