The past few days I’ve been drowning in recipe testing, and planning a month of dinners. I’ve been twisitng my creativety and my brain to figure out what to do with 10 Chicken dinners and 6 Sausage dinners, two cans of tuna, and 400g of ground beef. Let’s just say that there will be 18 new Recipes this month, and some are almost too easy, some are a little more challenging. On top of the 18 new recipes coming up this month, there will be some personal posts, and I’m going to do a “favorite items of the month” post on the last day of February, and there will be one new post every day from now on! You know you’ve done too much recipe testing when all you see is Chicken filets flying around the room when you close your eyes to go to sleep at night. But it’s worth it though!
Now I’m sitting her with my morning coffee, looking at today’s calender and answering e-mails. With a tight budget and recipe testing and all, I sometimes feel like I’m in an episode of Chopped. “What’s in today’s mystery box? Let’s upen them up and see.” Sometimes it’s really fun and challenging, other days it’s horrible because you feel like these components don’t match at all. But again, that’s what you often see at Chopped, a lot of ingredeints that needs to be used but don’t match what so ever.
Today’s recipe is somehting a little different, but in today’s mysery box, there was canned tuna, mayo, avacado and quark. But it turnd out really good y’all! It’s all about being creative!
240g Canned tuna
1/2 a lemon
1 Red Onion
3 DL Quark
6 TBS Mayo
Red chili flakes
How to make Hetty’s Tuns&Avocado Burgers:
- Drain the canned tuna and put it in a mixing bowl. Add in the quark, 4TBS of mayo and season with salt, pepper nad red chili flakes. Mix it all well together. Add in the juice of half a lemon and gently mix it all together.
- Put a thin layer of mayo on the burger buns. Peel and slice up the onion, slice up the tomato. Remove the skin and the stone from the avocado and slice it up.
- Start putting together the burger. Add some onions, then a good amount of the tuna mix, avocado and some tomatoes. Season with salt, and red chili flakes. Add the top bun and you’re ready to go!
It’s as easy as it sounds, and it’s super delish. If you love avocado as much as I do, I recomend using half an avocado on each burger – Of course you can add less if you’re not that fan of it. I do hope you love this recipe as much as we do. This one is defenetly going in the books, I’m going to have this again for sure! I really loved it, and it’s so clean and refreshing to eat. The sourness of the lemon, the salty flavored in such an amazing balanced. So it’s not too salty or too sour it’s just right.
I hope y’all are having an amazing day and I hope to see you back here tomorrow for a new post!
